Motivation
A big part of healthy living depends on your ability to become motivated to put effort into making your life extraordinary. Motivation to be your best allows you to do everything that you can to support a higher level of well being.
Motivation is a force developed from one source and transferred to another. If this force is transferred with positive intention it causes the energy of the receiving source to change in a positive manner. Change is a big part of health or disease. Rejuvenation and revitalization of mind, body and spirit depend on change. Whether change is regenerative or degenerative in nature depends on your choices.
Motivation is something that comes from outside of you and affects you on the inside. Because it comes from outside of you, you must accept motivation in order for you to benefit from it. Motivation is meaningless unless you agree to let it benefit you. Like anything else, people are attracted to things that motivate them in a direction that they choose. Motivation works best when it aligns with the goals and desires of the person being motivated
Motivation comes from many sources. To some people survival alone is not enough; they use the gift of life to reach for higher levels of well being. In other words, those who want to be in the best possible health, welcome motivation from outside sources to inspire themselves toward a healthy lifestyle.
The key to motivation is to be aware of the fact that it comes in all types and styles. Try to be aware of motivating events in your life that you may be dismissing without benefiting from. It’s easy to accept motivation when you’re asking for it from a coach or qualified health care provider. The trick is to always be conscious of the fact that your daily experience is full of events that, when viewed for their real meaning, can be a powerful motivating force toward a positive life changing consequence.
Motivation comes from relationships and events that you choose in your life. One key to health is to choose to surround yourself with people and circumstances that may call you to something bigger and greater than you would do on your own. That doesn’t mean that everything and everyone in your life will result in you reaching your health goals. It means that if you put yourself in a positive, productive environment you are more likely to be graced by inspiration and good health. Choose positive health relationships and you will realize positive, healthy motivation.
Motivation from fear of negative consequences is effective but always results in short term achievement. When motivation is negative in origin people tend to gravitate away from it because it makes them feel bad. The results can only be sustained with continued negative input. This state of dis-ease can be the underlying cause of physical, emotional or spiritual decay. Motivation needs to come from the heart with enthusiasm and high energy. People don’t act because of what they know; they act because of how they feel about what they know.
If you are having trouble moving toward a healthy lifestyle, you may just need a little motivation. Look for it in many different places and in the nuances of life. You may find that some of the things that keep showing up in you life are actually meant to motivate you toward a positive change.
